Attorney Kristen Gestaut

Attorney Kristen Gestaut

Kristen has a well-earned reputation as one of King County’s most formidable and ethical litigators. Judges trust her word and so do juries. Kristen built a distinguished career first in public defense where to this day she remains deeply committed by devoting a significant portion of her practice to defending those in need. From misdemeanors to juvenile cases, to Class A violent felonies and complex sex offenses, Kristen has achieved remarkable results for her clients including scores of acquittals, dismissals, and a variety of other favorable and creative resolutions. Kristen has had success at the appeals level as well. She recently wrote an appellate brief concerning juvenile sentencing that was granted discretionary review by the Washington State Supreme Court.

Early in her career, Kristen's dedication was recognized by an award from the Washington Defender Association for securing numerous felony dismissals. Later, she was promoted to one of the highest levels of Senior Attorney and also supervised juvenile, felony, and misdemeanor attorneys. Recently, she successfully defended a client facing first-degree murder charges which ultimately resolved with a complete dismissal. Although the case drew a good deal of local and even some national media coverage, this type of attention is the last thing Kristen seeks out for herself or her clients. In fact, rather than take the lion's share of credit for her own success, Kristen wants to use this brief bio to thank the clients who trusted her with their futures and the investigators, mitigation specialists, social workers, paralegals, experts, and all other support staff and attorney colleagues who made her success possible.

Attorney Sandro Parrota

Attorney Sandro Parrotta

Sandro Parrotta has been fighting for the accused for nearly 25 years. Having tried over 100 cases to verdict, Sandro is the very definition of a trial attorney. Sandro has secured countless acquittals and dismissals in the courtroom. These include Not Guilty verdicts for charges such as First-Degree Murder, Sex offenses, Strike offenses, and other serious felonies.

When clients decide not to take their case to trial, Sandro is equally skilled as a negotiator. Sandro routinely negotiates significant reductions in charges and sentences for his clients. He has also obtained many sentencing alternatives for clients that have kept them out of jail or prison entirely.

Mental health and substance abuse issues often play a significant role in a criminal case. Sandro has extensive experience integrating these complex issues into a defense. Sandro has a unique ability to steer a client’s case in a positive direction even under the most challenging circumstances.

Sandro’s abilities have earned him a sterling reputation in the legal community. Sandro is highly respected by prosecutors, judges, and his fellow defense attorneys. In 2010, Sandro received Washington Defender Association’s President’s Award for his outstanding advocacy in a cold case murder trial that ended in a Not Guilty verdict. Over the years, Sandro has enjoyed mentoring and working with lawyers who themselves have achieved significant success in their careers.
